Baltimore Lab Project (BLP) is seeking an enthusiastic and dependable Ballet & Jazz Instructor to join our teaching team! This is a great opportunity for a college student, emerging dance educator, or early‑career teaching artist looking to gain additional classroom experience in a supportive youth dance environment.

Schedule

Mondays

• Minis Ballet: 5:30–6:20 PM
• Minis Jazz: 6:25–7:15 PM

Minis classes are designed for dancers ages 6–8.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate:

• Has a strong background in Ballet and Jazz
• Has approximately 1–2 years of dance teaching or assisting experience preferred, though this is considered an entry‑level opportunity
• Is comfortable working with young dancers ages 6–8 in a positive, encouraging, and structured environment
• Is dependable, professional, and able to commit consistently to Monday evening classes
• Has reliable transportation to and from the studio
• College juniors and seniors studying Dance, Dance Education, Theatre, Education, or a related field are strongly encouraged to apply

Support & Training

BLP provides instructors with training, classroom support, and a structured curriculum to follow, so you won’t be expected to build every lesson from scratch. Our goal is to help emerging educators strengthen their teaching skills while maintaining a consistent, high‑quality experience for our dancers.
