Animal Care Technician – Ball Python Care Tech

Hours: Typically 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Reports to: Department Supervisor

Schedule: Weekend and holiday work may be required. Occasional overtime may be available.

About the Job

We are looking for a dependable Ball Python Care Tech to help care for our ball pythons.

Your main job is simple: keep the animals healthy, clean, fed, and properly cared for.

This is a hands‑on job that involves working with snakes, feeder rodents, animal waste, water, and cleaning supplies.

What You'll Do

• Feed and water ball pythons.
• Clean and disinfect enclosures.
• Handle juvenile and adult snakes.
• Check animals for signs of illness or injury.
• Give medications as directed.
• Monitor temperature and humidity.
• Help with breeding and egg incubation.
• Handle feeder rodents and insects.
• Keep your work area clean and organized.
• Report animal health concerns to your supervisor.
• Follow daily care and cleaning schedules.

Physical Requirements

• Bend, reach, twist, kneel, push, and pull.
• Perform repetitive movements throughout the day.
• Work around reptiles, feeder rodents, insects, animal waste, and cleaning products.

Preferred, But Not Required

• Previous animal care or husbandry experience.
• Experience working with reptiles or snakes.
• Veterinary, kennel, or agricultural experience.
• Valid driver's license.
