Qualifications

• Previous experience in a warehouse, production, or recycling environment is preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and the ability to operate a pallet jack daily.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in varied temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Safely load, operate, and monitor balers to ensure efficient compaction of waste materials.
• Break down, sort, and transport recyclable materials to the baler.
• Securely bind finished bales with wire or twine, label them, and transport to holding area.
• Perform routine cleaning of baler and work area to prevent downtime or injury.
• Dispose of trash as needed and perform janitorial duties such as sweeping and mopping.
• Transport, carry, and lift tools, materials, and equipment as required.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
