Job summary

Church & Dwight is seeking a Packaging Operator on the 3rd shift (Sunday-Friday, 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM) in New Jersey. The role focuses on operating packaging lines, performing basic maintenance, and ensuring safety and quality in line with SOPs and GMPs.

The US base salary range is $22.95–$24.50 per hour. Eligible for a bonus; comprehensive benefits and 401(k) with company match are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate at least one major piece of equipment on packaging lines.
• Conduct minor preventive maintenance (lubrication, cleaning, inspections, adjustments).
• Assist mechanics/line technicians with performing preventive maintenance.
• Perform daily safety checks, quality checks, checklists, and housekeeping.
• Clear equipment jams and maintain safety practices.
• Support recycling of empty component boxes.
• Use interface panels to operate equipment.
• Maintain equipment with changeovers, washouts, and sanitizations.
• Adhere to SOPs and GMPs.
• Wear appropriate PPE and follow safety procedures.
• Report hazards and production issues to supervision promptly.
• Participate in safety, quality, and equipment training.
• Comply with Church & Dwight policies and NJ laws.

General Summary:

Operates as a fully participating and effective team member of a production line within the scope of the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) required of this position. Monitors the performance and work flow of the production line in one or more functions in the following areas: safety, housekeeping, productivity, quality, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Operates at least one major piece of equipment on any of the packaging lines.
• Conducts minor Preventive Maintenance's (lubrication, cleaning, inspections, and adjustments).
• Assist Mechanics/Line Technicians with preforming Plan Maintenance.
• Perform all the daily basic safety checks and observations, quality checks, checklists, and housekeeping.
• Clear equipment jams.
• Ensure compliance to the recycling process of empty component boxes.
• Utilizes computer interface panels to operate the equipment.
• Maintain equipment and perform full change overs, washouts, and sanitizations.
• Adheres to the requirements of the SOP's and GMP's.
• Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment and adheres to all safety procedures as documented in the Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
• Report safety hazards, quality, and production issues to supervision immediately.
• Participates in all job-related safety, quality, and equipment training.
• Complies with all Church & Dwight Co. Inc. policies and procedures and NJ laws.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $22.95 -$24.50. This position is also eligible for a bonus.
