Job summary

Red White & Blue Thrift is seeking a Baler / Forklift Operator in a hands-on role in our Tampa store. You will operate baler machines and forklifts, feed materials, and ensure proper compaction, tying and labeling of bales for storage.

You will follow safety protocols and collaborate with teammates to support thrift-store operations and recycling initiatives. The position requires ability to lift, operate heavy equipment, and maintain clean, organized work areas while helping meet production

Qualifications

• Preferred: thrift/retail/warehouse or back-of-house experience.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate baler and forklift and perform routine maintenance to process and transport materials (clothing, textiles, cardboard, plastics).
• Feed materials into baler hopper and monitor controls for proper compaction into tight bales.
• Securely tie and label bales before moving them to storage areas using a forklift.
• Operate and maintain equipment including baler machines, trash compactors, and janitorial tools.
• Organize and sort donated items with proper documentation and placement.
• Follow strict safety protocols to prevent accidents and maintain a safe work environment.
• Communicate effectively with team members and coordinate operations to streamline processes.
• Perform routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance and longevity of equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in baler and storage areas.
