Job summary

The Winn-Dixie Company in Beverly Hills is seeking a Bakery Clerk to assist in daily bakery operations. You will promote fresh, appealing products and provide courteous service, helping customers find items and samples.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated, increasing customer confidence and loyalty.
• Deliver daily conditions that meet the company’s expectations for product availability, freshness, quality and value.
• Offer product samples, answer product questions and assist in finding or suggesting products.
• Ensure customer requests and special orders are fulfilled.
• Promote trust and respect among associates by collaborating, fostering teamwork, and communicating information.
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal laws, and company guidelines.
• Maintain awareness of inventory and stocking conditions and report discrepancies.
• Review and inspect products for quality and freshness, taking appropriate action with those items.
• Prepare, package, label, and display products for sale.
• Utilize production planning tools to produce fresh products and follow discarding or markdown processes to reduce shrink.
• Ensure product is held at the proper temperature per food-safety guidelines and keep temperature logs per policy.
• Maintain safety, proper food-handling practices, sanitation, and productivity.
• Adhere to regulatory compliance related to food safety, USDA, COOL, and DOA.
• Execute product recalls and withdrawals timely, securing and removing items from customer access.
• Reinforce safety programs by complying with procedures, inspecting, and reporting unsafe conditions to store management.
• Notify management of customer or employee accidents and report all safety risks, issues, and illegal activity.
• Ensure adherence to wage and hour policies and regulations, cultivate a culture of safety, and provide necessary safety training.
• Ensure hazard assessments are posted, PPE is available and used, and equipment is maintained or remediated as needed.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
