Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Food Clerk to deliver exceptional customer service with product knowledge, efficient service, and a friendly attitude. The role covers a variety of retail tasks in Fresh departments and requires weekend availability on a second shift.

You will build customer connections, maintain attractive displays, stock and merchandise, and work across departments to keep the store running smoothly. This position is ideal for those who enjoy fast-paced food retail and active work.

Qualifications

Customer service mindset and strong communication are important.
Comfort with using store technology and following procedures.
Physical ability to perform tasks like lifting and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Create a welcoming store environment with friendly service.
Share product knowledge and help customers find items.
Maintain fresh, attractive displays and ensure proper merchandising.
Stock and rotate products according to standards and rotate stock as needed.
Use store technology to complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures.
Collaborate across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery.
