Job summary

Izzio Artisan Bakery in Thornton, CO is seeking a QA Manager to ensure food safety and quality across production. You will lead the QA team, enforce HACCP compliance, and coordinate with FSQA to develop and revise quality programs and SOPs.

The role requires strong leadership, FDA regulatory knowledge, and hands-on ability to review GMPs, train staff, and respond to regulatory inquiries while promoting safe, high-quality bakery products.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years related experience, with at least 2 years in a Supervisory/Leadership role.
• QA experience in food manufacturing and knowledge of FDA regulations.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control principles.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Bi-lingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follow HACCP plan compliance using Food Safety and Quality systems.
• Investigate process deviations and manage QA change control, SOP revisions, and GMP training.
• Develop work instructions to ensure consistency in product formulation and safety.
• Review and update quality programs and policies with FSQA Director.
• Lead plant inspections and address regulatory requests.
• Lead QA team oversight to ensure procedures are followed and food safety is maintained.
