12 hour days and night shifts available

Schedule: Mon/Tues/Wed & Thurs

The Bakery Production Processor position plays an important role in operating or tending cooking and enrobing machines, for the purpose of mixing and, cooking ingredients or preparing products for further processing (enrober/seasoner). While operating cooking and enrobing equipment, the Processor must be able to work within a dynamic, collaborative team environment, ensure quality, safety, and organize the manufacturing environment. The Processor must follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food Safety.

Qualifications

• The Baked Line Processor is responsible for operating cooking and enrobing equipment, monitoring the production and manufacturing process to ensure quality, and organizing, maintaining, and cleaning equipment.
• Attendance - This is a skilled position that requires the team member be reliable on a constant basis.
• Operates cooking equipment.
• Tends or operates and controls equipment to cook ingredients and prepare products for enrobing/seasoning processing
• Sets temperature, pressure, and time controls
• Starts conveyers, machines, or pumps
• Turns valves and start pumps to add ingredients
• Uses scales or measuring containers
• Reads work orders, recipes, or formulas to determine cooking times and temperatures, and ingredient specifications
• Admits required amounts of water, steam, cooking oils, or compressed air into equipment, such as by opening water valves to cool mixtures to the desired consistency
• Pours, dumps, or loads prescribed quantities of ingredients or products into cooking and enrobing equipment
• Activates agitators and paddles to mix or stir ingredients
• Stops machines when ingredients are thoroughly mixed
• Operates auxiliary machines and equipment, such as grinders, canners, and molding presses, to prepare or further process products
• Troubleshoots issues, making simple adjustments based on findings
• Monitors production or manufacturing processes to ensure quality.
• Observes gauges, dials, and product characteristics
• Adjusts controls to maintain appropriate temperature, pressure, and flow of ingredients
• Listens for malfunction alarms
• Shuts down equipment and notifies supervisors when necessary
• Collects and examines product samples during production to test them for quality, color, consistency, viscosity, acidity, or specific gravity
• Records production and tests data, such as processing steps, temperature and steam readings, cooking time, batches processed, and test results
• Organizes, maintains and cleans the environment.
• Cleans, washes, and sterilizes equipment and cooking area
• Removes cooked material or products from equipment
• Inspects for defects, identifying what can be fixed internally and what will need to be fixed by maintenance
• Documents status of equipment
• Notifies or signals other workers to operate equipment or when processing is complete
• Performs additional related duties as assigned; may be required to be forklift certified.
