Job summary

SpartanNash seeks a part-time Bakery Production Associate in Pendleton, IN to bake, fry, decorate, package, display and stock bakery products. You will support the department to contribute to store profitability while performing other duties as needed.

This role requires basic math, reading and writing abilities, and the stamina to lift up to 50 pounds. Prior retail experience is a plus, with a focus on quality and guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Baking and frying duties per production schedule (80% of time).
• Price, date, wrap and/or bag bakery products.
• Fill, rotate, and merchandise bakery shelves, cases and displays.
• Notify Bakery Manager if products and supplies need ordering.
• Assist in receiving, unloading and stocking merchandise.
• Familiarize with all department products; know price/taste/usage.
• Handle spoiled/damaged products per guidelines.
• Maintain clean, attractive and well-stocked department.
• Follow PPE and safety guidelines; follow food safety standards.
• May be assigned tasks in other departments.
