You will manage inventory, schedule staff, maintain records, and uphold sanitation and regulatory standards while delivering friendly service to customers.

This role requires strong math and communication skills, the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and decorating capability to support cake decoration.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all functions of the bakery department.
• Follow merchandising plans for the department.
• Order and maintain inventory to ensure freshness and quality.
• Manage asset control of bakery products (Stroehman, Maier’s, and private label).
• Enforce policies for receiving, dating, and restocking to ensure product rotation.
• Participate in shrink control.
• Schedule and supervise department employees.
• Ensure safety and sanitation compliance and maintain records/reports.
• Monitor product quality and freshness; comply with weights and measures and health regulations.
• Oversee baking and production; train new bakery staff.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Maintain budgeted sales distribution, labor, and shrink control.
• Capable of decorating cakes.
