Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a smile and assist their needs throughout the store.
• Check daily orders and set up production schedule; prioritize special orders.
• Prepare, bake, fry department products; pull from freezer or cooler.
• Review product freshness and manage stock for current and upcoming days.
• Inspect incoming products for quality and mispicks.
• Invoice and store product as directed by Bakery Manager.
• Check ad signage labels and monitor safety in department.
• Maintain bakery equipment and report issues.
• Lead bakery clerks and provide direction.
• Re-merchandise shelves and remove outdated products.
• Order supplies and merch items as directed.
• Write department schedule and cover in manager's absence.
• Maintain sanitation and safe work area.
• Answer phones with friendly service and take product orders.
• Follow Hy-Vee dress code and guidelines.
• Help with other tasks or projects.
