Job summary

Flowers Foods, Inc. in Lewiston, ME is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to support bakery operations through preventive maintenance, lubrication, and equipment troubleshooting.

The role requires climbing, lifting, and hands-on mechanical work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include safe work practices, keeping work areas clean, using SAP for parts checkout, and ensuring compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; trade certification a plus.
• Experience as a technician in industrial settings preferred.
• Background in HVAC, electrical, welding or related field helpful.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate safe work habits, proper tool selection and usage, general shop practices, maintenance tasks, and general knowledge of support equipment
• Perform proper component lubrication and conduct preventive maintenance on specific equipment
• Identify mechanical wear and identify, troubleshoot, and replace mechanical drive and conveyor components
• Use SAP software for parts checkout, reporting, and general data entry
• Practice learned knowledge of environmental and maintenance programs
• Maintain clean and safe work environment
• Practice and comply with all Company policies and procedures (EEO, Harassment, Safety, Sarbanes Oxley, etc.)
• Perform other duties which are deemed by management to be an integral part of the job, including but not limited to fulfillment of work schedules, adherence to attendance policies, and other applicable operating rules, policies and procedures
• Possess or attain licenses required by their respective municipal, county/ward or state regulatory agencies to work with boilers, refrigeration components and various other job-related equipment
