Job summary

Responsibilities

• Prepare items per customer requests using bakery equipment.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover items.
• Inform customers of bakery and/or deli specials.
• Provide fresh products and correct portion sizes.
• Recommend deli or bakery items to meet customer needs.
• Use equipment (refrigerators, ovens, slicers) according to guidelines.
• Prepare, package, label and inventory ingredients.
• Check product quality and review sell-by dates.
• Maintain temperatures and temperature logs; follow cooking instructions.
• Stock, label and inventory department merchandise.
• Report ordering/shipping discrepancies to the manager.
