Responsibilities

• Grocery Clerk (Bakery/Deli) prepares items per customer requests using bakery equipment.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items.
• Inform customers of bakery/deli specials.
• Provide customers with fresh products and proper portion sizes.
• Recommend bakery/deli items to meet customer needs.
• Use bakery equipment per company guidelines (refrigerators, ovens, scales).
• Prepare foods following recipes and cooking instructions.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Check product quality and review sell-by dates.
• Maintain proper temperatures and temperature logs in cases and coolers.
• Ensure safety procedures and food safety regulations are followed.
• Report discrepancies to the department manager.
• Maintain knowledge of products and assist customers with questions.
