Responsibilities

• Grocery Clerk (Bakery/Deli) will prepare items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or products they inquire about.
• Inform customers of bakery and/or deli specials.
• Provide customers with fresh products that they ordered and correct portion size to prevent shrink.
• Recommend deli or bakery items to ensure customers get what they want.
• Use bakery equipment (refrigerators, freezers, slicers, ovens) per guidelines.
• Prepare foods according to temperature logs and cooking instructions.
• Measure, prepare and mix ingredients with utensils and equipment.
• Label and inventory ingredients in merchandise.
• Check product quality and review sell-by dates.
