Job summary

Meijer Inc. is looking for a Food Clerk to create a fresh, welcoming, and well-run store experience within our Fresh departments. You’ll build positive connections with customers and teammates, share product knowledge, and help customers find what they need.

This role supports multiple departments, follows food safety standards, and helps keep displays stocked and visually appealing. Meijer offers weekly pay and team member discounts.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing roles is preferred.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

As a Food Clerk, you play a key role in creating a fresh, welcoming, and well‑run store experience within our Fresh departments.

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates
• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need
• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards
• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures
• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
