Responsibilities

• Grocery Clerk (Bakery/Deli) will prepare items per customer requests using bakery equipment.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items.
• Inform customers of bakery and deli specials.
• Provide fresh products in correct portion sizes to prevent shrink.
• Recommend deli or bakery items to meet customer needs.
• Operate bakery equipment (refrigerators, ovens, slicers) per guidelines.
• Prepare foods according to recipes and temperature logs.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
• Check product quality and review sell-by dates.
• Maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers.
• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create a welcoming environment and assist customers.
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and safety procedures.
• Report discrepancies to the department manager.
• Must be able to perform essential functions with/without accommodation.
