Responsibilities

• Grocery Clerk (Bakery/Deli) will prepare items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or products they inquire about.
• Inform customers of bakery and/or deli specials.
• Provide customers with fresh products, correct portion sizes, and prevent shrink.
• Recommend deli or bakery items to customers to meet their needs.
• Use bakery equipment (refrigerators, freezers, slicers, ovens) per guidelines.
• Prepare foods according to temperature logs and instructions.
• Measure, mix, and prepare ingredients with utensils and equipment.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
• Check product quality and review sell-by dates for action.
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain temperatures in cases and coolers.
