Bakery/Deli Clerk (Finance)

The Grocery Clerk (Bakery/Deli) will prepare items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment. Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or inquire about products. Inform customers of bakery and/or deli specials. Provide customers with fresh products ordered and in the correct portion size to prevent shrinkage. Recommend deli or bakery items to ensure customer satisfaction. Use bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens according to guidelines. Prepare foods following temperature logs and cooking instructions. Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients as per recipes using appropriate utensils and equipment. Properly package, label, and inventory ingredients. Check product quality for freshness and review 'sell by' dates. Use kitchen equipment like stoves, scales, fryers, steamers, and robots. Label, stock, and inventory merchandise, and report discrepancies. Understand store layout and assist customers in locating products. Stay updated on store promotions and product knowledge. Maintain inventory and temperature logs. Promote a respectful environment among staff and create a welcoming atmosphere for customers. Adhere to food safety regulations and safety procedures. Inspect equipment and report issues. Notify management of accidents, safety risks, or illegal activities. Must perform all duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
