Desired Previous Job Experience
- Bakery or Deli experience is helpful.
- Grocery Clerk (Bakery / Deli) will prepare items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment.
- Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or products they inquire about.
- Inform customers of bakery and/or deli specials.
- Provide customers with fresh products ordered and in correct portions to prevent shrink.
- Recommend deli or bakery items to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Use bakery equipment according to guidelines.
- Prepare foods following food safety protocols.
- Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients as per recipes.
- Package, label, and inventory ingredients and merchandise.
- Check product quality and review "sell by" dates.
- Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
- Report discrepancies in product ordering/shipping.
- Understand store layout and locate products for customers.
- Stay updated with current promotions and product knowledge.
- Maintain inventory and stocking conditions.
- Ensure proper temperature maintenance and logs.
- Promote trust and respect among staff.
- Create a welcoming environment for customers.
- Adhere to all food safety and safety procedures.
- Practice preventive maintenance and report equipment needs.
- Report customer or employee accidents and safety issues.
- Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
