Desired Previous Job Experience

• Bakery or Deli experience is helpful.
• Grocery Clerk (Bakery / Deli) will prepare items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or products they inquire about.
• Inform customers of bakery and/or deli specials.
• Provide customers with fresh products ordered and in correct portions to prevent shrink.
• Recommend deli or bakery items to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Use bakery equipment according to guidelines.
• Prepare foods following food safety protocols.
• Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients as per recipes.
• Package, label, and inventory ingredients and merchandise.
• Check product quality and review "sell by" dates.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
• Report discrepancies in product ordering/shipping.
• Understand store layout and locate products for customers.
• Stay updated with current promotions and product knowledge.
• Maintain inventory and stocking conditions.
• Ensure proper temperature maintenance and logs.
• Promote trust and respect among staff.
• Create a welcoming environment for customers.
• Adhere to all food safety and safety procedures.
• Practice preventive maintenance and report equipment needs.
• Report customer or employee accidents and safety issues.
