Job summary

The Winn-Dixie Company in Florida is seeking a Bakery Associate to assist in the daily operations of the bakery department and promote high standards of product quality and customer service. You will help ensure fresh, available products, provide friendly, knowledgeable service, and follow safety and sanitation guidelines while supporting a diverse team in a fast-paced retail environment.

Experience with slicers, ovens, scales and price guns is a plus, and you will contribute to loss prevention

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and background check.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Exceptional interpersonal, motivational and communication skills.
• Operate bakery equipment (e.g., slicer, oven, scale, knives, box cutter and pricing gun) according to company guidelines.

• Offers samples, answers questions and assists customers in finding products.
• Fulfills customer requests and special orders.

• FINANCIAL: Monitors inventory; ensures quality and freshness; prepares and displays products; follows shrink-reduction processes.
• COMPLIANCE/SAFETY: Adheres to safety, food handling, sanitation; follows regulations and recalls; enforces wage/hour policies.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
