Job summary

Cardenas Markets is seeking a Bakery Clerk to deliver friendly, high‑quality customer service in a fast-paced retail setting. You will model the company values and help ensure fresh bakery products and accurate pricing.

You will greet customers, assist with baking breads and desserts, maintain cleanliness and safety, and work with bakery equipment while meeting the store's standards. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• Valid Food Handlers Card.
• Customer Service and retail experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with customers to address questions or concerns in a friendly, service- oriented manner;
• Organize products in display case and tables while ensuring fully-stocked cases;
• Support team with baking various breads, cookies, and desserts, including pan dulce;
• Maintains standards for quality, cleanliness, organization, customer service, safety, loss prevention, sanitation, department conditions, and food safety;
• Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while examining the rotation of all bakery products and discarding outdated or spoiled items;
• Work with various professional Bakery equipment, including heat sources, mixers, and blenders;
• Takes food orders in person and by telephone;
• All other duties as assigned.
