Job summary

Fiesta Mart in Lewisville is seeking a Bakery Clerk to support daily bakery operations at Store 083. Under supervision of the Bakery Manager, you will greet customers, assist with bakery purchases, and help maintain clean, well‑stocked displays and self‑serve areas.

The role involves lifting and standing for extended periods, with a focus on fast-paced service and collaboration with the baking team to fulfill orders and keep displays inviting.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish for customer interactions.
• Experience in customer service or retail settings.
• Ability to read simple instructions, pricing codes and memos in English/Spanish.
• Strong written and verbal communication with customers and team.
• Physical ability to lift up to 60 lbs as needed.

• Proficient in reading and writing Spanish/English; ability to interact with the general public and co‑workers.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Capability to write simple correspondence.

Responsibilities

Under direct supervision from the Bakery Manager, the Bakery Clerk provides customer service and conducts a variety of tasks within the bakery. Duties include: greeting customers, assisting with bakery purchases, cleaning shelving and display cases, maintaining self‑serve displays, processing special orders, collaborating with the Baker to determine items that need to be baked or decorated, and ensuring department cleanliness by hosing down floors with soap and water. The role is fast‑paced and involves lifting, standing, walking, kneeling, and routine visual and auditory demands.

Requirements

Food Handler Card or equivalent certification is required for all positions related to preparation, handling, and serving food.
