Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Food Clerk to deliver friendly, efficient service in our Fresh departments. You'll help customers find products, share knowledge, stock and merchandise displays, and maintain clean, organized aisles.

The role involves lifting and standing for extended periods, learning store tech, and collaborating with Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery teams. Prior retail experience is helpful but not required; competitive pay and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to learn and use store technology and POS system.
• Attention to detail and ability to stay organized.
• Ability to lift, stand, and be active for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide customers with product knowledge and friendly service.
• Assist in stocking, rotating, and merchandising displays.
• Maintain neat, full, fresh product displays in Fresh departments.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality standards.
• Collaborate across departments (Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce, Grocery).
