Responsibilities

As a Bakery Clerk, your responsibilities include:

• Preparing and packaging baked goods
• Assisting the Bakery Manager with baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising
• Providing high-quality customer service and ensuring bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented
• Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of the bakery area and equipment
• Stocking, facing, and ensuring accurate pricing and product rotation
• Receiving, inspecting, and logging shipments for accuracy and quality

Qualifications

To qualify, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, and have 1-2 years of bakery experience or an acceptable combination of education and experience
• Be dependable, reliable, and flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Have an outgoing, friendly demeanor and positive attitude
• Possess good communication skills and the ability to work in a team
• Be able to answer phones and take special orders
• Perform general housekeeping and sanitation tasks
• Operate equipment such as knives, scales, wrappers, and hand trucks safely
• Stand for up to 3 hours continuously, with the ability to lift and transfer items up to 40 lbs.
• Adhere to safety, health, and regulatory standards, and maintain a Food Handlers permit

Compensation and Benefits

The pay range is $16.90 - $21.95 per hour, based on experience and qualifications. Benefits include:
