Overview

If so, we need YOU to join our team at Sprouts Farmers Market as a Bakery Clerk!

Responsibilities

• Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising baked goods.
• Provide high-quality customer service and ensure bakery items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented. Maintain cleanliness of the bakery area.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary bakery environment, including cleaning shelves, floors, and equipment.
• Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy of bakery products, monitor product rotation, and discard outdated items.
• Inspect and log products for shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment and be proactive in your role.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent; 1-2 years bakery experience preferred.
• Dependable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Outgoing, friendly, positive attitude, and strong customer interaction skills.
• Good communication skills, ability to take direction, and work well in a team.
• Ability to answer phones and take special orders.
• Perform general housekeeping and sanitation duties.
• Operate knives, scales, wrappers, and other bakery equipment safely.
• Stand for up to 8 hours, lift trays up to 5 lbs., and transfer items up to 40 lbs. as needed.
• Adhere to safety, health, and regulatory standards, and maintain a Food Handlers permit.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay range: $16.90 - $21.95/hour, based on experience and qualifications.
