Job Title: Bakery Clerk at United Supermarkets, LLC

Summary

Bakery Sales Clerks are primarily responsible for providing excellent guest service, educating guests about products and services, and effectively selling and presenting products to create a unique store experience.

Key Responsibilities

1. Greet and engage guests upon entering the department.
2. Exceed guest service expectations and build a reputation for outstanding service.
3. Be attentive to guest needs and ready to assist or direct them.
4. Inspect department displays every 2 hours for cleanliness, merchandising, signage, and lighting.
5. Follow packing guidelines and ensure product quality and rotation.
6. Demonstrate and sell products as instructed or as time permits.
7. Complete daily duties accurately and on time.
8. Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
9. Follow detailed instructions for special orders to meet or exceed guest expectations.
10. Assist with break-out and dishwashing duties as needed.
11. Practice safe work habits, maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety in the store.
12. Follow all Food Safety procedures.
13. Assist in training new team members.
14. Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

Key Requirements

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical ability to stand, bend, lift (up to 50 lbs.), and walk.
• Capability to push and pull up to 100 lbs.
• Work in a freezer for up to 15 minutes.
• Accept supervisory coaching and feedback.
• Flexible to work various hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Attend meetings and training sessions as required.
• Maintain current food safety certification.
• Team-oriented and able to collaborate effectively.
