Job summary

Walmart is seeking a part-time Deli/Bakery Associate to help customers at the service counter and move incoming merchandise to the floor. You will ensure clean, safe food handling and assist with cake orders and deli items, contributing to a positive shopping experience.

Shifts may start between 8:00am–11:00am or 1:00pm–4:00pm, with pay ranging from $18 to $31 per hour. Benefits and other eligibility requirements vary by location and tenure.

Qualifications

• Help customers find the products they are looking for.
• Ensure high quality products are available across departments.
• Pack ready-to-sell products and stock displays.
• Prepare and serve ready-to-eat foods in deli/bakery areas.
• Assist customers with cakes and deli orders.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers at the service counter to ensure a positive shopping experience.
• Maintain proper food safety standards and cleanliness throughout the department.
• Rotate and check product dates; dispose of lesser quality items as needed.
• Support shifts that may start between 8:00am–11:00am or 1:00pm–4:00pm.
