Qualifications

• Experience in retail or customer service.
• Bakery operations or cake decorating experience preferred.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure and handle busy periods.
• Basic math for handling cash and quick calculations.
• Strong communication with customers and team members.

Responsabilités

• Create an environment where customers feel welcome and valued by answering questions about products in the department and store.
• Know products in the department and be able to suggest options to customers.
• Offer samples and prepare bakery items such as wedding cakes using proper equipment.
• Recommend bakery items to meet customer needs.
• Ensure product quality, check dates, and use bakery equipment safely.
• Decorate cakes, pastries, cupcakes, and other bakery items.
• Label, stock, sign, and inventory department merchandise.
• Report discrepancies in ordering/shipping to the manager.
• Maintain store layout and stay informed about ads and promotions.
• Monitor inventory levels and report stock issues.
• Follow health, safety, and food safety policies and procedures.
• Support safety programs by identifying hazards and notifying management.
• Inspect equipment and arrange repairs as needed.
• Report safety risks or incidents to management.
