Job summary

Cardenas Markets is seeking a Bakery Clerk to deliver friendly customer service in a retail bakery setting. You will stock bakery items, assist customers, and support baking of breads, cookies, and desserts, including pan dulce, while upholding quality and food safety standards.

The role requires standing and lifting up to 50 lbs, with pay scale in the $17.15–$19.59 per hour range, and opportunities for growth within the company.

Qualifications

• Valid Food Handlers Card.
• Customer Service and retail experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with customers to address questions or concerns in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Organize products in display case and tables while ensuring fully-stocked cases.
• Support team with baking various breads, cookies, and desserts, including pan dulce.
• Maintains standards for quality, cleanliness, organization, customer service, safety, loss prevention, sanitation, department conditions, and food safety.
• Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while examining the rotation of all bakery products and discarding outdated or spoiled items.
• Work with various professional Bakery equipment, including heat sources, mixers, and blenders.
• Takes food orders in person and by telephone.
• All other duties as assigned.
