Position Objective

To assist customers in their shopping experience by producing, stocking, and packaging high-quality baked items in the most efficient, friendly, and courteous manner possible.

Reporting Structure

This position reports to the Bakery Manager.

Status

This is a non-exempt, Part-Time position.

Shift Requirements

Saturday and Sunday from 4:00 AM to 12 noon, plus an additional shift during the week from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Knowledge & Qualifications

* A food handling permit must be obtained within the first 14 days of employment.
* Completion of ongoing training as listed on Cosentino’s Learning Plan.
* A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Skills & Job Functions

* Know and implement Cosentino’s Customer Service Standards.
* Merchandise cases to ensure fullness, freshness, and attractiveness.
* Meet or exceed productivity standards.
* Bake all items as requested by the Bakery Manager.
* Answer customer questions accurately and courteously.
* Rotate fresh products to prevent selling or using stale items.
* Restock ingredients daily and notify management for reordering.
* Unload shipments and stock items carefully.
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
* Comply with health, sanitation, and safety regulations.
* Operate, clean, and maintain equipment safely.
* Demonstrate strong verbal and interpersonal skills.
* Use basic math and reading skills effectively.

Physical Abilities

Reaching, twisting, lifting up to 20 lbs, pushing/pulling items, standing/walking long hours, lifting up to 35 lbs, bending, working in cold conditions, climbing ladders.
