Job summary

King's Hawaiian Bakery West, Inc is seeking a Baker 1 under the supervision of the Production Manager and Head Baker to produce and bake a variety of bakery items including breads, cookies, pies, cakes, and brownies.

Responsibilities include following recipes, operating ovens and equipment, managing inventory, and ensuring food safety and sanitation. The role requires basic English, physical stamina, and the ability to work with tight schedules.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Speaks and understands basic English.
• Logical reasoning ability.
• Able to be present at work for assigned schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays and extended hours when required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and 25 lbs frequently.

Responsibilities

• Production Operation: Assist Production Manager and Head Baker to create baked goods from scratch following recipes.
• Mix and deposit batters into pans for baking.
• Operate baking machinery to produce items (ovens, slicing machine, wrapping machine).
• Prepare orders and manage both baked and unbaked inventories with attention to expiration dates.
• Roll, cut, bake dough, and bag finished cookies and loaves.
• Create pastry dough and chocolate crumb as part of production.
