Compass Group USA's Bon Appetit team is hiring immediately for full and part-time baker positions at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute, IN. Prior bakery experience is required.

You will prepare baked goods from recipes, maintain quality and sanitation, and assist with production records. Weekend and evening availability is required.

Responsibilities

• Follow recipes and production standards to ensure proper food preparation.
• Assist with production records including waste tracking and shortages; notify supervisor when supplies are low.
• Ensure proper presentation, quality, portion control, and serving temperatures.
• Maintain sanitation and orderliness of equipment, supplies, and workstation.
• Handle food items safely according to safety regulations during prep and service.
• Clean equipment and workstation after shift; keep display equipment clean.
• Interact with customers and resolve complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Keep up with peak production and service calmly, accurately, and efficiently.
• Check that all food is presented, served and displayed per standards.
• Follow sanitation and safety principles to comply with OSHA standards.
• Complete shift work promptly and thoroughly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

We are hiring immediately for full and part time BAKER positions.

Location: Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology - 5500 Wabash Avenue, Terre Haute, IN 47803.

Schedule: Full and part time; Days and hours may vary. Weekend and evening availability is required. More details upon interview.

Requirement: Previous bakery experience is required.

Pay Range: $14.00 per hour to$16.00 per hour.

Summary:

Prepares baked goods according to recipes and production specifications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensures proper food preparation by utilizing approved recipes, following prescribed production standards and use of proper equipment.
• Assists with the completion of production records to include waste tracking, used/unused portions and product shortages; informs supervisor when supplies are low.
• Ensures proper presentation, food quality, portion control and maintenance of proper serving temperatures.
• Maintains sanitation and orderliness of all equipment, supplies and utensils within work area.
• Handles foods items appropriately and with all safety regulations in mind during preparation and service.
• Cleans equipment and workstation thoroughly before leaving the area for other assignments. Keeps display equipment clean and free of debris.
• Interacts with customers and resolves customer complaints in a friendly and customer-service oriented manner. Relays relevant concerns from customers directly to supervisors.
• Consistently exhibits the ability to keep up with peak production and service calmly, accurately and efficiently.
• Checks to ensure that all food is presented, served and displayed per standards.
• Follows principles of sanitation and safety in handling food and equipment, ensuring corporate and OSHA safety standards are followed.
• Completes shift work, as assigned, in a timely and thorough manner in accordance with department standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
