Position Summary

Do you have a knack for helping people, following recipes, and organization? Our Bakery/Packager associates prepare fresh baked items daily for members through recipes and wrapping, labeling and storing merchandise to ensure members have the freshest items available to take home to their families. At times you will juggle several tasks in a short amount of time while helping members with their bakery orders. It’s hard work, but our bakery team finds it rewarding, especially since they’re part of a large team with a common goal: happy, satisfied members.

What you’ll do
  • Be a Team Member: Collaborate with other associates to build a strong bakery team; communicate with team members; be flexible to the needs of the business and work in other areas.
  • Be an Expert: Prepare bakery merchandise based on daily production needs by operating baking equipment; follow recipes/make‑up instructions; wrap, label and store merchandise according to company policies and procedures; ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and inventory standards.
  • Be a Techie: Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience and elevate associate engagement; use handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, merchandise ordering, training, and product quality.
  • Be an Owner: Commit to operational excellence, maintain the work area, uphold quality and date‑control standards for bakery items, secure fragile and high‑shrink merchandise, eliminate waste, assist members with purchasing decisions and ensure packaging is correct.
  • Be a Talent Ambassador: Advocate for the department and club by valuing the member experience, modeling high‑quality service and products, executing basics at the highest level, and demonstrating energy, commitment and passion.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing action plans, using the Open Door Policy and applying these in business processes.
  • Complete work assignments and priorities using policies, data and resources; collaborate with managers, co‑workers, customers and partners; identify priorities and deadlines, communicate progress, recommend improvement opportunities and adapt to change.
Compensation and Benefits

Hourly Wage Range

$18.00 to $26.00 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional Compensation

Premiums may be paid ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances, based on schedule, facility, season or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if criteria are met.

  • Must successfully complete all job‑required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period if you receive the position.
