Job summary

Aramark is hiring a baker to create a variety of foods following recipes and production guidelines. You will set up stations, measure ingredients, and operate ovens and mixers while following safety standards and maintaining cleanliness.

Role emphasizes accurate measurements, adherence to food safety regulations, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment. At-will employment with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous baker experience preferred.
• Knowledge of baking methods and food safety regulations.
• Food safety certification(s) required.

Responsibilities

• Bakes and prepares a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
• Sets up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
• Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, etc.
• Operates equipment such as ovens, stoves, mixers, etc.
• Safely uses a variety of utensils including knives
• Properly stores food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
• Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils
• Maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
• Adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
• Ensures security of company assets

Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by Aramark location based on client requirements and business needs.

Compensation

The hourly compensation range for this position is $<23> to $<24>. If both numbers in the range are the same, that is that rate that will be paid. If there is a lower number and higher number, the pay will depend on factors such as an applicant’s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, prior job experience, market data, and other relevant factors. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this position as of the time of posting..

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and Aramark reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time AND FOR ANY REASON, including, BUT NOT LIMITED TO for reasons related to individual performance, Aramark or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a baker or in a related role preferred
• Proven knowledge of baking methods, standards, and food safety regulations such as proper food handling, sanitation, and storage
• Required to obtain food safety certification(s)
• Demonstrates basic math and counting skills
• Demonstrates interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
