Sodexo at Fisk University in Nashville is seeking a Baker to prepare baked goods according to recipes and production specifications. You will follow Sodexo culinary standards to ensure pastry items meet high quality in taste and appearance for guests.

The role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds on occasion, and the ability to work mornings and afternoons with varying days, including some weekends/holidays. Full-time employment with an hourly wage of $18–$20.

• 0 to 1 year of related work experience.
• Experience in a specialized bakery or pastry role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Check daily production schedules and follow Sodexo recipes to prepare a variety of baked items from scratch.
• Accurately weigh and measure ingredients, mix doughs and batters by hand or mixer, shape and bake items to perfection.
• Regulate oven temperatures, monitor baking times, and ensure all products are prepared, held, and served at correct temperatures.
