Job summary

Simplicity Ground Services, LLC in Tucson, AZ is seeking a ramp agent to assign manpower, move baggage between aircraft and terminals, and operate motorized equipment. You will read weight and balance instructions, routing tags, and hazardous material labels, and support safe, efficient loading operations.

You will oversee a crew of 3-5 agents, manage paperwork before and after departures, and ensure all tasks follow company and airline procedures.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience.
• Must be at least 18 years old and legally able to work in Canada.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
• Valid G or G2 driver’s license with good driving record; must be able to pass DA training
• Must be able to hold and maintain all required airport security clearances
• Reliability, our customer and your fellow employees rely on you
• Capable of lifting comfortably 70 lbs
• Prior ramp experience required
• Must be a good team player, setting the example
• Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays;
• Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions, work is primarily outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Assign and plot manpower for the bagroom in assigned area.
• Move cargo and baggage between aircraft, terminals, air cargo facilities, and other aircraft.
• Operate motorized equipment.
• Read and interpret loading instructions, hazardous material labels, manifests, and routing tags.
• Oversees a crew of 3-5 agents and manages paperwork before/after departures.
• Oversees all operations at their assigned area and ensures procedures are followed.
• Attends mandatory training imposed by the Company and Airlines.
• Other duties as assigned.
