Job summary

GardenCore, a leading U.S. lawn and garden consumables manufacturer, seeks a Bagging - Production Laborer for its Fort Lauderdale, FL facility. You will support rock bagging in a production environment, stack products, and keep the area clean while adhering to safety regulations.

Ideal candidates have a HS diploma or GED, can lift heavy loads, and are willing to obtain forklift certification. The role includes comprehensive benefits and company-paid safety training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Ability to perform in dusty, hot and/or cold working conditions.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs, and up to 65 lbs with team lifting when needed.
• Must follow workplace safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Willingness to obtain forklift certification.

Responsibilities

• Stack product as it comes off the production line.
• Clean machinery and surrounding area; keep debris free.
• Follow safety regulations and wear PPE at all times.
• Collaborate with lead operator to prepare for shift production and learn machinery.
• Transport trash and debris away from production areas.
• Be certified to operate forklift in production area when required.
• Other duties as needed depending on production.

GardenCore is seeking a Bagging - Production Laborer that will provide general labor support in a covered and uncovered manufacturing environment. A Production Laborer is responsible for the following specific job tasks:

This position is located in Fort Lauderdale, FL and will work in rock bagging production area.

Job Responsibilities

• Stack product as it comes off the production line
• Clean machinery, maintain the surrounding area, keeping the area free of debris
• Use security gear at all times and follows all safety regulations
• Work closely with the lead operator to prepare for shift production and become knowledgeable of the machinery you operate
• Transport trash and debris away from production areas
• Ability and willingness to be certified to operate forklift in production area
• Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

Requirements

• Must be able to follow workplace safety procedures, including machinery lock out, tag out and use of personal protective equipment
• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Able to perform job tasks in sometimes dusty, hot and/or cold working conditions
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak or hear
• The employee will be required to stand for extended periods of time
• The employee is regularly required to lift and move up to 50lbs. Occasionally the employee may need to lift up to 65lbs, – should this be the case, employees should engage in team lifting and/or use the provided equipment to safely lift
• The employee must have the capability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms, legs, and your whole body – bending, crouching, climbing - using steps and ladders, pushing pulling, stooping and reaching
• Ability and willingness to be certified to operate forklift in production area and to deliver prepared pallets to holding areas in production area and outside areas
