Job summary

Diamond Pet Foods in Gaston, SC is seeking Production Operators to work in our packing and production facility. The role involves operating and adjusting machinery, changing over packaging configurations, and loading pallets for shipping.

Candidates should have 3+ years of production experience with one employer, be able to stand 12 hours, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform moderate to heavy labor while following all safety SOPs.

Qualifications

• Able to stand for 12-hour shifts, lift up to 50 pounds, and climb a ladder to access maintenance equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and perform routine adjustments and changeovers for different bag configurations and orders.
• Load pallets and center them based on bag parameters; operate printer and apply labels.
• Fill, seal and stack products as directed; move product using forklift when needed.
• Keep bags, pallets, and supplies available for proper stacking; troubleshoot minor packaging issues.
• Repair damaged pallets or bags; ensure safety standards throughout the shift.

Job description

Diamond Pet Foods is taking applications for Production Operators to work in our packing and production facility in Gaston, SC.

Diamond Pet Foods produces and packages premium high quality pet foods.

Minimum desirable experience for qualified individuals is at least 3 years of recent employment with ONE employer in a production-assembly type environment.

• Operate and perform routine adjustments and changeover functions. Specific examples would be adjustments for different bag configuration, to meet orders and load pallets, ensuing pallet centering based on bag package parameters. - Operate printer and apply proper tags as trained to Pet Food bags- Perform and comply with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).- Perform product fill, seal and stack configurations as directed- Operate as needed a forklift to move product into the warehouse- Keep bags, pallets and cardboard available for proper stacking at all times.- Troubleshoot minor bagging and package operating problems.- Repair any damaged pallets or bags before shift is over.- Must be able to stand for 12-hour shifts, lift up to 50 pounds of product routinely, and climb a ladder to maintenance equipment from a catwalk/platform if needed.- Must be able to perform moderate to heavy labor under constant machine operation and other noise throughout the shift when required.- Work other duties as assigned.- Follow all safety procedures.
