Job summary

Graymont Limited is hiring for a 2nd shift Bagger at the Eden, WI plant. The role involves producing bags of hydrated lime, loading and securing loads on customer and contract trucks, and assisting in maintenance of production equipment as needed.

You will work as part of a two-person team on a 3PM to 1AM shift, with potential overtime on Fridays. Minimum requirements include being 18+, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs; pre-employment drug screening is required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a valid driver’s license (strong asset).
• Physically fit with ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work shifts.
• Pre-employment drug screening required and able to read/write English.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all safety rules.
• Operate bagging equipment safely.
• Operate palletizer and forklift with safety.
• Communicate effectively with drivers and customers.
• Identify safety hazards and equipment malfunctions.
• Perform manual tasks around the plant as needed, including housekeeping.
• Work in varied environments with dust exposure; PPE provided.

Job Introduction 2nd shift Bagger $26.64/ hour starting. The Eden Plant is a very well-established operation in Wisconsin with long term commitments for community and environmental stewardship.The Bagger will work as part of a two-person team to produce bags of hydrated lime; assisting, as needed in the bulk bag and mortar and ground lime production departments. The Bagger will be expected to load and secure loads on customer and contract trucks and assist in the maintenance of production equipment as needed.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all safety rules and standard safety practices
• Operate bagging equipment while following safety precautions and standards.
• Operate automatic palletizer while following safety precautions and standards.
• Operate forklift truck while following safety precautions and standards.
• Effectively communicate and cooperate with truck drivers and customers.
• Must possess the ability to detect and respond to safety hazards and equipment malfunctions in accordance with safety rules and standards.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or move a minimum of 75 lbs.
• Assist in various manual labor tasks around the plant as needed such as housekeeping, greasing, bagging, etc.
• Work in various environments, including weather variations and exposure to fine lime/limestone dust (personal protective equipment is supplied by Graymont)

Qualifications

• Current Driver's License is a strong asset
• Over 18 years of age
• High School Diploma/GED Equivalent Desired
• Physically fit and ability to work shifts
• Self-motivated, goal oriented, and excellent communication skills
• Be able to think on your feet and troubleshoot/problem solve
• Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability
• Ability to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy
• Mechanical experience an asset
• Experience working in industrial environments preferred
• Must possess the ability to read and write the English language to effectively interpret manuals, regulations, reports; must have the ability to complete various types of paperwork.
• Pre-employment drug screening required
