Job summary

Pbpservices is hiring a Baggage Jammer Technician to deliver luggage and clear jams in the airport baggage handling system. You may also scan bags at the manual encode station and push stacks of tubs as needed.

Ideal candidates communicate clearly, provide excellent customer service, and can multitask under time pressure while solving problems in a fast-paced environment. This is a full-time position with benefits and paid time off.

Responsibilities

• Deliver luggage across the BHS as needed
• Clear baggage jams and ensure correct bag placement in the system
• Communicate jam corrections and luggage updates in a timely manner
• Scan baggage when required at the manual encode station
• Operate the manual code station as needed
• Collaborate with team to ensure overall BHS success

Description

A Baggage Jammer Technician is responsible for delivering luggage and clearing baggage jams in the airport baggage handling system (BHS). May also be responsible for scanning bags in the manual encode station, pushing stacks of tubs, and straightening bags on the conveyor as necessary.

Basic duties include (but are not limited to):

• Delivering luggage to multiple locations across the BHS as necessary
• Clearing baggage jams and ensuring proper placement of baggage on the BHS system to ensure proper function
• Communicating baggage jam corrections and luggage assignment updates timely
• Properly scanning baggage as necessary
• Proper use of manual code station
• Working as a team to ensure the success of the entire BHS

Requirements:

• Must be able to communicate clearly, efficiently, and effectively

• Must be able to work with a sense of urgency
• Must be able to multitask and problem-solve

Hours & Compensation:
Full Time - 40 Hours - 4 Days Per Week
