Job summary

P.F. Chang's China Bistro, Inc. is seeking a Backwaiter to support restaurant operations by delivering food promptly and courteously, keeping dining areas clean, and maintaining service stations. All team members provide excellent guest service to ensure a memorable dining experience.

The role requires excellent communication, strong multitasking, and physical ability to stand and lift up to 30 lbs. Training is provided, with opportunities for advancement and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; training is provided.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Possess or obtain a current Food Handler’s Card, where applicable.
• Ability to stand, reach, bend, balance, and lift objects up to 30 lbs. repeatedly.
• Strong multitasking skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to stay calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food to guests efficiently and meet requests.
• Monitor the expo line, run trays for dine-in, assist guests with questions.
• Clear and sanitize tables, seating, and floors per standards.
• Transport dirty dishes to the dishwashing station.
• Restock and clean service stations as needed.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as coffee machines, iced tea machines, and POS systems.
• Interact courteously with guests and escalate issues to managers.
• Follow company policies, dress code, and safety procedures.
• Assist with greeting, seating guests, answering phones, and packaging takeout orders when needed.
• Support beverage preparation and responsible alcohol service when required.

Job Summary
