Job summary

Gerrity's Supermarkets is seeking a Scan Coordinator to ensure pricing accuracy across store-wide systems. You will support the Scan Manager and Store Manager, verify DSD files, print reports, maintain shelf tags, and uphold customer service standards in a fast-paced retail setting.

The ideal candidate is at least 18, has a high school diploma or GED, retail or computer experience, strong math and attention to detail, and can work at Gerrity's store locations. Competitive wages offered.

Responsibilities

• Competent working knowledge of all essential functions of B/U Scan Coordinator.
• Accept, verify and apply all DSD files from Corporate Office in a timely manner.
• Verify printed sales ads prior to Sunday to eliminate pricing errors.
• Print and distribute required reports to management.
• Maintain and order shelf tags and promotional signs store-wide.
• Verify and correct pricing errors as reported by Front End promptly.
• Comply with department procedures and standards.
• Verify store-wide prices regularly and ensure ad accuracy.
• Enter promotional information and update ads as required.
• Assist with receiving functions as directed by Store or Scan Manager.

Job Description

The Scan Coordinator is responsible for performing duties as directed by the Scan Manager and/or Store Manager and is accountable for meeting and maintaining the goal for store wide pricing accuracy. It is essential that as the Scan Coordinator, you will present yourself in a professional and courteous manner at all times while performing your defined responsibilities. Reporting to the Scan Manager, you are responsible for always maintaining our high standards of Customer Service. Other duties may be assigned as required, depending upon the available time, business volume, and other criteria as determined by your appropriate supervisors and/or Gerrity’s Supermarkets. Full compliance with current and future policies will be required to ensure that your work contribution is in the best interest of Gerrity’s Supermarkets.

The ideal Scan Coordinator will be at least 18 years old; have a high school diploma or GED; will have prior employment experience in a retail and/or computer environment; have documented attention to detail and organizational skills; and will be skilled at math (calculate figures/amounts, discounts, interest, and percentages). This position will be at one of the Gerrity's store locations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Competent working knowledge of all Essential Functions of B/U Scan Coordinator;


• Responsible to accept, verify and apply all DSD files from the Corporate Office in a timely and consistent manner


• Responsible to verify printed sales ads prior to Sunday to eliminate any pricing errors


• Responsible to print and distribute all required reports to appropriate management


• Maintain and order all shelf tags, advertised signs, Gold Buy signs store wide


• Verify and correct pricing errors as reported by the Front End in a timely manner


• Responsible for maintaining full compliance with all department procedures


• Responsible for verifying the accuracy of store wide prices on a regular and consistent basis


• Responsible for verifying ads and entering promotional information as required


• Assist with the receiving function as directed by the Store or Scan Manager


• Maintain cooperation with all department managers and employees on a daily basis


• Responsible for the training of department employees as required


• Responsible for maintaining TrueTime files and the subsequent processing of payroll within the mandatory timeframe


• Responsible for verifying and the reconciliation of the direct store delivery invoices

QUALIFICATIONS

• Exhibit a sense of urgency

• Must be at least 18 years old


• Prior employment experience in a retail and/or computer environment


• Must be able to calculate figures, amounts, discounts, and percentages


• Ability to read, write, analyze, interpret and understand the English language with sufficient proficiency in order to read and understand


• Able to lift a minimum of 15 lbs


• Employee is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and taste or smell


• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distant vision, and color vision with the ability to adjust focus
