Job summary

St. Olaf College is seeking a Dance Student Stage Technician Tier 2 to assist the Dance Department with lighting, sound, and stage operations for performances and events.

The role supports the Technical Director and Production Run Crew, focusing on safety, preparation, and efficient cue execution during rehearsals and live shows. The position requires hands-on work, comfortable with heights, and a desire to learn.

Responsibilities

• Hang and focus lights.
• Run cable.
• Setup various audio and visual equipment.
• Assist Production Run Crew for rehearsals and live performances.
• Operate ETC Ion light board for rehearsals and shows.
• Set up and run audio and video on Q-Lab.
• Operate Sound Board and communications units.
• Operate Fly Rail during performances.
• Build, organize and maintain props and sets.
• Maintain theater equipment and space.
• Attend safety training and follow safety practices.
