Job summary

Walmart in Mays Landing, NJ is hiring a part-time stocking associate. You’ll unload trucks, stock new freight, and keep backroom areas organized to ensure shelves are stocked and customers can find items easily.

This role requires the ability to lift heavy objects over 50 pounds and, at times, operate heavy equipment like forklifts. You’ll greet customers, scan items, bag purchases, and contribute to a positive shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift heavy objects (>50 pounds) and operate basic equipment.
• Provide friendly customer service and assist customers in a fast-paced store.
• Able to stand for long periods and work flexible shifts.

Stocking associates are focused on unloading trucks and stocking new freight. They spend the majority of their time in the backroom. Stocking associates must be able to lift heavy objects in excess of 50 pounds. Ability to operate heavy machinery such as forklifts may also be necessary. What you'll do

You play a major role in how our customers feel when they leave the store. You might be the first, last, and sometimes only associate a customer interacts with. That's why it's so important to smile, greet, and thank every customer. You are an ambassador of Walmart. The pace can be intense, especially in the evenings, weekends, and holiday seasons. There are times when you must juggle several tasks in a short amount of time while helping customers: scan items, explain a price, bag items properly, count cash back, and keep your area clean--you get the idea! It takes a special person who is positive, can multi-task and has a passion for customer service and helping others.
