Job summary

Sam's Club in Joliet, IL is seeking a Warehouse Associate to maintain and process shipments, develop and post delivery schedules, and organize the Receiving area to keep store operations running smoothly. The role involves handling merchandise, verifying counts, routing items, managing claims for damaged goods, and upholding safety, ethics, and excellent service for members.

You will follow safety guidelines, use equipment as trained, and support Walmart's Open Door Policy and integrity

Qualifications

• Forklift Certification OR will obtain a Forklift Certification within 30 days of job entry date.
• Must be 18 years of age or older

Responsibilities

• Maintains and processes shipments for the Club by developing and posting delivery schedules.
• Compiling and organizing receiving reports, verifying merchandise counts, routing merchandise to proper locations and paying expenses.
• Receives merchandise for the Facility and organizes and maintains the Receiving area following company procedures and utilizing equipment.
• Appropriately merchandising and completing required documentation.
• Tracks and processes claims by returning damaged goods and maintaining the clearance area.
• Utilizes technology to capture required reporting and documentation.
• Maintains safety of facility by following all safety standards and guidelines, conducting safety sweeps, and proper forklift spotting procedures.
• Correcting and/or reporting unsafe situations to facility management.
• Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans using the Open Door Policy.
