Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. is seeking a Backroom Processing Associate at our Homesense location in Newark, DE. The role supports receiving and merchandising, helping maintain a clean, organized store, and delivering an excellent customer experience.

It requires a flexible schedule (including nights/weekends) and the ability to train others, with training provided on register use and operations. Hours are typically between 8am-4pm, with flexibility for closing shifts when needed.

• Organizes back stock for easy replenishment and maintains signage standards.
• Promotes safety, labor policy compliance, and shrink reduction programs.

Job Description:

Backroom Processing Associate Needed

+18 years old preferred to operate age restricted equipment

Hours:

Between 8am-4pm

(Flexible to work closing shifts when needed, will receive register training as well)

Responsible for executing receiving and merchandising standards and working as a team. Ensures an excellent customer experience by engaging and interacting with all customers, and maintaining a clean and organized store. Role models exceptional customer service.

• Creates a positive internal and external customer experience
• Promotes a culture of honesty and integrity; maintains confidentiality
• Prioritizing the processing of merchandise onto the sales floor
• Ensures merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded
• Communicates with the Coordinator on Duty to ensure efficient flow of goods to sales floor
• Organizes and rotates back stock for easy replenishment
• Maintains and upholds merchandising philosophy and signage standards
• Maintains all organizational, cleanliness and recovery standards for the backroom area
• Ensures compliance with recycling and, where applicable, hazardous waste programs
• Communicates accurately and effectively with management and other associates when setting and addressing priorities; provides progress updates
• Provides and accepts recognition and constructive feedback
• Partners with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness
• Ensures adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures
• Promotes credit and loyalty programs
• Supports and participates in store shrink reduction goals and programs
• Promotes safety awareness and maintains a safe environment
• Other duties as assigned
