Job summary

Marshalls in Cincinnati is hiring a Backroom Associate to keep stock organized and ready for the sales floor. You’ll handle incoming merchandise, organize the stockroom, and support a clean, safe backroom environment, with cross-training in other store areas.

Position Summary

As a Backroom Associate, you play a key role in keeping our store stocked and running smoothly. You’ll process incoming merchandise, organize the stockroom, prepare products for the sales floor, and support a clean, efficient, and safe backroom environment. This position may also involve cross‑training in other store areas to meet business needs.

• Sort, tag, hang, secure, and prepare merchandise according to company standards so it is ready for the sales floor.


• Organize and rotate back stock for easy replenishment and efficient inventory flow.


• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe backroom area at all times.


• Support sales floor recovery and restocking as needed.


• Follow all merchandising, operational, and loss‑prevention procedures.


• Communicate effectively with managers and team members about priorities and progress.


• Uphold safety standards and participate in store shrink‑reduction efforts.


• Provide friendly, helpful service when interacting with customers or co‑workers.


• Perform other duties as assigned to support store operations.
