Rescue Rooter in Cleveland, OH is seeking an experienced Backhoe Operator and Heavy Equipment Operator to join our field team. You will dig for sewer, water, and gas line projects, break concrete, assist technicians on site, and restore job sites after work is completed.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of heavy equipment experience, a valid CDL, and strong communication and customer service skills. This role emphasizes safety, reliability, and quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Heavy equipment operator experience.
• Valid CDL (commercial driver’s license) is required.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work safely and efficiently on job sites.

Responsibilities

• Operate a backhoe or shovel to dig for sewer, water, and gas line repairs or new installations.
• Break concrete and prepare areas for digging.
• Assist technicians with repair work on-site.
• Backfill serviced areas, clean up, seed, and restore job sites.
• Remove old sewer lines and check line flow before completing jobs.
• Obtain customer approvals for work performed.
• Maintain and fuel the service vehicle and ensure proper truck stocking.
• Transport materials and tools and track tool usage.
• Complete required documentation on services provided and handle any customer payments as needed.
